Nice, in the department of Alpes-Maritimes and the second largest city in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur after Marseille. It is located thirty miles from Italy, on the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea. With a population of about 1,200,000 including the suburbs, it is the fifth town of France. Located between sea and mountains, and being the economic capital of Cote d'Azur, Nice is a very attractive place to live. The city has the second largest hotel capacity in the France and welcomes every year 4 million tourists . It also has the third busiest airport in France. Nice also has a university as well as many important cultural facilities including many museums , a national theater , an opera , a library with a regional focus, a regional outreach conservatory and concert halls.
