CHATEAU DU GRAND PIN : Built in the 1850s when the Minervois wines were coming into their most prosperous years, Chateau du Grand Pin has now been totally renovated to high standards, with large bathrooms, and bedrooms. The owners have been careful to balance tradition with modern visuals. Rooms are bright, and often have views of the surrounding village and vineyards. There is ample off street parking in a gated area, across the road from the Chateau. Entry is through the magnificent gates of the Languedoc family that once owned this gracious house. The tall pine tree that gives the chateau its name, gives shade over a small entrance garden with pond, with fountain, where one can sit and read out of the sun. At the center of the garden, the main steps lead up to the entrance of the chateau, where left and right is a terrace, where to one side a long table is set up for outside dining for up to 12 persons. There is a barbecue. On the opposite side of the garden to the pine tree is the heated swimming pool - so its possible to enjoy the pool in the off season, as well as in Summer! (4.5m x 4.5m, 1.3m deep) with plenty of room for those that want the sun, to bathe, and enjoy the benefits of the south of France. A large number of chairs, and sun loungers are put out so your party can enjoy and relax by the swimming pool.
