Collioure - Jewel on the Mediterranean
Photo of the Week - December 30 2000

Collioure, near Perpignan, Languedoc Roussillon
PHOTO: A. WAGNER

Be entranced as were Matisse, Picasso, Dufy, Dali, with Collioure

Its well worth a drive any time of the year to the lovely seaside resort of Collioure, that was faved by the fauves, and is well known for its anchovies and sardines. Visit the church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges with its magnificent alterpiece. Take in one of the many walks that follow the magical coastline, and climb into the majestic hills that become the Pyrenees
