Roubia, lazy afternoon on the Canal du Midi

Not far from Narbonne, and Beziers, close to the Minervois, the Canal du Midi heavenly winds its way through vineyards perfect for walks or boating. There is something about having a picnic amongst the plane trees that give perfect shade, watching the sun glinting on the vines giving birth to grapes, to be sunk in one's throat as potent wine. What could be more pleasurable?
