Minervois walking country: View of Aigues-Vives, and the Cesse
valley
Away from the
main road to Minerve, up in the hills that are between Aigues Vives
and Bize Minervois, are some lovely walks and trails. Here you see
the vines all tidy ready for the next years growth (see
vineyard photo), traces of wild animals (sanglier - wild pig
- a seclusive animal - is found in these parts),
and overgrown vineyards, walls, paths, ruins that hold secrets of
the past - Roman villas, and forts .....
