The Fete des Vendanges, held every year at Ouveillan, with vibrant energy, dancing, music, food, traditional crafts, flea market, wine in abundance - is the place to be at the beginning of October. Men in big hats, clogs that make a statement, show the wild life of the Ariege. The Ariegeois traditionally every year would come and take part in the vendange or grape picking in the Aude area, away from their mountain villages.
