Southwest of Lagrasse is the very pretty church of St Martin des Puits (dating from 900 A.D.) - remarkable for its simplicity, the remains of medieval 12th century frescos, its location, and also sad as its interior is being renovated slowly - obviously through the lack of funding. The church is on the way from the abbey village of Lagrasse to the magnificent castles of Termes, Peyrepertuse, and Queribus.
