October is a marvelous month to experience the colors of Languedoc - the vineyards still green and defined before the Autumnal change where browns and golds will vibrate in the sun. One of the many lovely roads in the area is the road from Roquebrun "the Nice of Languedoc" with its exceptional Mediterranean garden, perched above the village; along the River Orb, great for swimming or canoeing down; past the pretty village of Vieussan; towards the Espinouse, and the stunning Gorges D'Heric.
