The poppies this year have been exceptional; fields are often a riot of colour. May is the month to visit to catch the splendid colors of wild flowers in the Minervois, indeed all over France.


Vine leaves when young are tender, embarrassed clumps of green, and they become wild exuberant flinging their arms around and shouting the energy that they will put into grapes and then wine. May is the month when vines have a party!
