Look at the lovely interior
Just east of Carcassonne, is the lively village of Trebes, with shops, an art gallery that shows international artists, swimming pool, a bridge with a view of the river Aude, and last but definitely not least the Canal du Midi. Walk along the canal, and you will see a myriad of boats, moored or cruising along the canal. Stop at Le Moulin de Trebes for informal grillades at lunch and more varied and enticing dining at night. The interior and exterior are very well decorated and create a lovely atmosphere for any kind of gathering whether it is the 2 of you or 20 (they have a good sized private room, an enclosed terrace as well)
