Restaurant Les Beaux Arts, Bages, Aude, Languedoc

After walking around the village of Bages in the late afternoon, - benefitting from the cool winds off the etang - visiting the various art galleries, looking at the grand sea/etang front mansions, enjoying the picturesque narrow streets, - it was good to sit outside the local bar and sip drinks in the very attractive main square of the village. The Restaurant Les Beaux Arts, is above the bar, looking onto the village square, however its entrance is accessed from a street behind the building - and be prepared to climb a circular staircase to the first floor dining room. The interior is pleasantly decorated, with paintings of Bages. The menus and dining perfectly balanced the bright light and colors of this darling village, a few minutes drive from Narbonne.
