Languedoc Restaurant Find of the Month (February 2001) ( Updated August 2007) Gatronomic delights await at La Tour Sarrasine, Poilhes, on the Canal du Midi (In the charming village of Poilhes, you will find La Tour Sarrasine, overlooking the picturesque Canal du Midi. Only a short detour from the Carcassone to Beziers road, this restaurant offers a real gastronomic experience in comfortable and pleasant surroundings. The carefully composed menus start at 135FF for four courses, and up to 265FF for a real tour de force of delicious food. A wine list of local and other French wines compliments the choice dishes on the menu. Service is friendly, unobtrusive and discreet. A perfect restaurant for a relaxing evening or a wonderful canalside lunch - reserving a table, especially during the summer months is certainly recommended (Review of 2001).) !The Tour Sarrasine now have new owners who have brought vitality and great dining to the restaurant that has been completely renovated. I had a celebratory meal there with a couple of friends and we all vowed to return again! Menus are at 18 euros and 29 euros. Be surprised!
