DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
In a pedestrianised corner of the modern complex of Moulin de la Mer, built in warm Catalan shades, typical of this region of France are "Les Vignes" and "Les Olives", two modern village houses, each with a terrace and views of the vineyards. Both villas benefit from a shared swimming pool.

Each house is furnished to a high standard in an individual style and are different from each other in this respect. However the following description is common for both houses.
You enter the terrace, from a pathway, where you will find garden furniture, and a gas barbecue and ring. As you enter you find yourself in the living room with kitchen corner. The kitchen is well equipped with a combination of microwave / fan oven / grill, fridge, washing machine, 2 plate hob, and all crockery and utensils. There is a dining table, chairs and sofa bed. In the living room you will also find TV / Video (a collection of videos and CDs) and radio CD player. There is also a separate shower room and WC.
The first floor is approached by a pine staircase, where there is a double attic bedroom under the beams. There is also a twin bedroom with roll under single beds, very suitable for younger members of the family (with restricted ceiling height).

ABOUT SURROUNDING AREA
The villas are situated on the edge and a quiet stroll from the unspoilt and charming village of Portiragnes, that has the benefit of being on the Canal du Midi, yet only a couple of minutes by car from the blue flagged beach of Portiragnes Plage, where you will find all beach activities and bars and cafés. The beach front is unspoilt (as in the case of some other resorts in the area), as it is under the control of a National Park.
In this lovely part of France there are many historic sites and endless possibilities for sightseeing ancient cities like Carcassonne, with it's Medieval Castle and Cité, Olargues near the Gorges d'Heric; Narbonne, with its Cathedral and Roman remains; and Beziers, just 1O mins drive, with museums, shops, restaurants, markets, and cathedral; plus numerous other places.
The Carmargue is also close by with flamingos and horses. By no means least are the local wine caves where you can sample the results of local vineyards.
Les Vignes and Les Olives are in a delightful unspoilt location, surrounded by vineyards, and are a haven for walkers, or beach lovers alike as it is so close to the sea.
ACCESS
International airports are within easy driving distance - Beziers (5 mins), Carcassonne (45 mins), Perpignan (45 mins), Montpellier (40 mins), Toulouse (1h35), Nimes (60mins), Barcelona (2h30). There are railway stations at Beziers (10 mins), Narbonne (20 mins), Agde (10 mins), Montpellier (40 mins) with TGV connections to Paris.
