night descends over aude valley, mount alaric, viewed from near le pech, minerve and granies, languedoc

The broad Aude river valley, with Mount Alaric heralding the Corbieres, with the distant Pyrenees

As night falls over the Aude valley, the dark silhoette of Mount Alaric, seems diminished; whilst the silvery ribbon of Lac de Jouarres, is more obvious.

Elsewhere towards the Corbieres, the electricity generating windmills are dotted with lights to warn low flying planes.
The longed for cool night, so reminiscent of the south of France, reaches its arms out so we can sleep before the hedonism of sun, sand, and sea return tomorrow.
