If you stop in Roubia, for a bite to eat at the local restaurant, - take a walk into the village and thence into the countryside. There's a wonderful string of hillocks that have a commanding view over the Aude valley.

Walk further to visit Chateau Tourril, which produces excellent wines from a its impressive new wine cave.
