Cloisters at
Elne, near Perpignan and Collioure, Pyrenees Orientales
The cloister and magnicent
church are very well worth the climb and walk in this town that once
was the capital of Roman Roussillon. The emperor Constantine named
the town after his mother - Helena.
Visit the local art gallery which has good views as well as art. The
cloister is exceptional for its stone carvings and sense of tranquility.
