Gruissan and Collioure - great places to explore in October!
On a warm October evening, walk the dog, or let the dog walk you. The endless beaches at Gruissan Plage, near Narbonne, offer active and meditative sports, with lovely views across the Meditteranean, up the coast to Cap d'Agde, or to the south to the peaks of the Pyrenees and the Spanish coast.
Or take an evening bathe, and express your freedom. The water may be on the coolish side, but the enjoyment surpasses the initial shock! There is always the sun to warm, particularly when the wind is still. Its only a short drive to the marina, and village of Gruissan with hot toddies to warm you up
If you are seeking something more exhilirating take to the sea, where the combination of wind and favourable seas offer great surfing.
For the two of you Languedoc is the romantic getaway from it all
If its markets, shops, you are looking for - there is a treasure trove of places to go to especially over the weekends, where numerous villages across Languedoc Roussillon offer Wine Festivals, large flea markets, local produce markets, often with music, art shows, and strolling performers
