Vineyard in February,
near Pouzols Minervois
The first of February was warm in the sun, and the vines are tidy after pruning,
their hair cut short. The sun even brought out a butterfly dancing in its light.
Its these early days of the year with the white flowers growing in the aisles
of the vines, the buzz of bees in the woods, that tell of all nature's magic
yet to come

Statue in
Gardens
of
Toulouse-Lautrec Museum. Albi
Walking
in the sun, in the wonderful grounds of Palais de la Berbie and the incredible
Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, on a warm February day, one looks across the majestic
river Tarn, and at the finely scrolled hedgerows of the ornamental garden. Albi is indeed a magical town. Well worth visiting is the Restaurant Tête de l'Art
with a truly French ambiance of Brassens and other folk singers. Looking for
somewhere to stay? - look no further than the Hôtel Saint-Clair,
in quiet, tidy rooms in a friendly unpretentious hotel within a few footsteps
of the Cathedral and Museum. See more about Albi on the river Tarn, near Toulouse
